Disability Support
Support for Students with Additional Needs at LCC
At London Churchill College, we are positive about each of our students and committed to ensuring everybody feels welcome and supported. We understand that some students may face challenges to learning or student life due to a disability or long-term health condition.
That’s why we encourage you to get in touch with our support team, whether you are applying to LCC, preparing to begin your studies, or already part of our community.
Telling Us About a Disability
Experiencing difficulties with your concentration, memory, mobility, communication, sensory processing, or mental health? Get in contact with the Registry team as you may be entitled to support and reasonable adjustments.
Disability is not limited to ‘physical conditions’—it can also include psychological and other less visible forms.
You do not need to have a medical diagnosis to start a conversation with our Disability Support team in Registry.
Many students do not realise they qualify for support until they speak with us – don’t hesitate to contact us.
It’s very common for students to disclose a disability at any time, including before they apply, during their enrolment process, or at any stage in their studies.
Any information you share or provide us will be handled confidentially, and we offer platforms for anonymous queries and drop-in sessions for those who are unsure where to begin.

How We Can Help
We offer a range of practical and academic support including:
- Help with applying for financial support
- One-to-one mentoring or study support
- Access to assistive technology and software
- Reasonable adjustments to assessments, timetables, or learning materials
- Accessible formats (including videos, text, and infographics)
- Support for neurodivergent and mental health-related needs
You will also find support through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), where resources are available online and through lecture recordings, reading lists and accessible course content.
Support Contacts
Contact a member of staff in the Registry department by emailing registry@lcc.ac.uk.
Look out for our team at open days and induction events.
We run awareness weeks during the year where students and staff come together to discuss accessibility, inclusion and mental health.
Regular messages are sent through email and SMS at important times in the academic year to remind students about support that is available to them.
We also encourage staff across all departments to play an active role in recognising and responding to support needs. Our staff receive regular training in disability awareness and inclusive teaching.
