Professor Nick Papé
Principal
Welcome to London Churchill College,
The student journey is our focus, ensuring a rich and rewarding experience during your time at London Churchill College. One way we can do this is by enhancing our facilities and resources for the benefit of all students. Our estate portfolio, comprising our main campus Barclay Hall (Upton Park) and King’s House (Barking) which we are not currently using, both refurbished to a modern and high standard, are focused on engaging students in stimulating environments.
Our educational offering of HND courses gives students a real opportunity to graduate and include a qualification on their CVs. The courses are supported by wide-ranging contacts with local industry and our own Employers’ Forum.
London Churchill College encourages applications from ethnic and diverse cultures, from school leavers, from adults returning to study and from those in work who seek affirmation of learned skills. All our campuses allow those with disabilities to study and staff receive regular training to address such issues. We are keen to support the achievement of graduate employment and potential career development within the local community. As a centre of that community, London Churchill College encourages the widest participation to enable students to gain entry to our programmes. We want our students to make a full contribution to their community on graduation and give back to the community the skills and knowledge they have learnt.
We believe achievement is built on student commitment to his/her studies. I can state categorically that success in study begins through high attendance, which we fully encourage at LCC. Our tutors provide a stimulating learning environment supported by high level academic standards. We know students who attend regularly either online or at campus have the best chance of success.
As Principal, my door is always open to meet students who want to discuss any aspect of their student life at London Churchill College, in an informal setting. Additionally, I look forward to meeting some student representatives during committee and boards meetings.
This opportunity for study can be life-changing if you allow it to be. Yours is the benefit. I wish all students every success with their studies.
